The Ocean City Fire Department will host a “Fire Prevention Night Open House” on Wednesday, October 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at their headquarters at 550 Asbury Avenue.
This free event will include a variety of fire safety tips and materials, fire house tours, live demonstrations and refreshments. Children can have their pictures taken with special guests Smokey the Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog and enjoy face painting and more.
Fire Chief Joe Foglio commented: “We’re commemorating Fire Prevention Month with this family-friendly event where local residents of all ages can obtain fire safety and prevention information. We invite and encourage the entire community to join us.”
The Ocean City Police Department, the United States Coast Guard and the New Jersey State Police will also participate.
