The community and congregation of Beth Judah Temple invite everyone to celebrate Light and Unity on this special Hanukkah Shabbat on Dec. 11 at Beth Judah Temple, Spencer and Pacific avenues, Wildwood at 6:30 p.m.
Hanukkah is a unique holiday on the Jewish calendar. The main focus of the holiday is light from the candles of the Menorah.
The idea of Hanukkah is to celebrate the distinct light that once stood in the Temple that was used as a guide to unify everyone in the community of ancient Israel.
On this Hanukkah, Beth Judah Temple in Wildwood will be commemorating Hanukkah by shedding the light of unity in our community by inviting four special religious speakers Pastor Mark Marius, new pastor at the Lutheran Church; Pastor Tom Lavery, pastor at the Methodist Church in Wildwood Crest; Pastor Joe Mathis, pastor at First Baptist Church, Wildwood; and Father Joe Wallace, pastor at St. Ann-Assumption Catholic Churches, to share their thoughts on the light and unity of their faith, and how we can bring the world together by sharing their light with the world to help shine the unity of religious tolerance in the world during this holy month.
Please join us as Beth Judah Temple welcomes all in the community through prayer and song as we celebrate the first night of Hanukkah, and share the glow of the light of the menorah with all who wish to bask in its glory.
Beth Judah Temple will also be hosting a Hanukkah Carnival on Dec. 13 from noon to 3 p.m. This event is open to the public for kids of all ages. There will be food, arts and crafts, carnival games and prizes, sand art, face painting and much more. Please call 522-7541 for additional information.
