- Repaved portions of 20 out of 26 roads-in progress
- Rio Grande Entry Project Phase 1- in progress to help reduce flooding
- New Bulkheads – completed to reduce flooding, and reduce damage created by storms
Public Safety
- Crime is down 35% since 2012; our streets are safer for our residents and children.
- $400,000 FEMA GRANT for New Fire Engine & Rescue Vehicle, FREE OF CHARGE. Fire safety is increased without cost to the taxpayers.
- No cost grants for new breathing apparatus, fire staffing personnel, and incentives to recruit volunteers. Again, Fire Safety in increased without affecting the taxpayers.
- Entered & advanced in FEMA’s CRS Program to become a Class 5 Community leading to 25% reduction in flood insurance rates for Wildwood property owners! The city is making every effort to improve flood management. The city will continue to work to help you save on your flood insurance.
Recreation & Parks
- New playground at Fox Park, revamped tennis & basketball courts for our children to enjoy.
- Complete upgrade of Holly Beach Park, Glenwood Avenue Park, and City Hall Grounds for safety and beautification of our town.
- Restored Veterans Memory Lane to honor the memory of those who died for our freedom.
New Commercial & Residential Development
- Over 350 transfer of property inspections were completed in 2018, and 340 to date in 2019, meaning that new residents are BUYING in Wildwood!
- Capt. Jack’s at the Boardwalk Mall – coming soon
- Waves Hotel – completed
- Le Voyageur Hotel New Wing – in progress
- New McDonald’s – completed
- Dock Street Seafood wholesale distribution – completed
- Dollar General – completed
