Group Plans Twenty Fifth Pro-Life Rally

By Press Release

RIO GRANDE — On Sun. afternoon, Oct. 4, over 1,500 Life Chains will once again line local sidewalks as earnest defenders of human life pray for God’s divine assistance in ending the lawful killing of our most defenseless citizens…. our preborn sons and daughters.
The blood of more than 57 million aborted babies represents an enormous stain on our national conscience and a heavy burden on our hearts. Thanks to medical advances and ultrasound technology the majority of Americans are pro-life and accept the humanity of the unborn. The long-term trend is fewer abortions and the number is down significantly from 1990 when the country saw 1.6 million abortions a year. With the widely distributed videos now revealing that Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider performing nearly 330,000 abortions annually, has been illegally harvesting and selling aborted baby parts, most Americans would like to see the over $500,000 million in taxpayer dollars removed from their annual budget. While we still have a long way to go to return full legal protection to unborn children, never underestimate the power of praying Christians.
The Life Chain will form a cross along the intersection of Routes 9 and 47 in Rio Grande. Life Chain participants will be able to make donations to the Hope Pregnancy Center, which has offices in Rio Grande and Ocean City. These centers minister to the needs of women facing crisis pregnancies.
The hour-long Life Chain event will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 4, rain or shine. Those individuals interested in participating can pick up a sign at the K-Mart parking lot along Route 9 in Rio Grande.
