By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY – Recently, the members of Girls Scout Troop 4102, of Sea Isle City, donated their time to plant flowers at VFW Post 1963.
According to a release, planting the flowers, which were purchased by the VFW’s Auxiliary, helped the scouts earn community service badges. The Scouts also weeded the gardens and spread mulch.
“The Auxiliary wanted to beautify the exterior of the building for our veterans, so we asked the Girl Scouts to get involved,” stated VFW Post 1963 Auxiliary President Patti Lloyd.
“Then, on May 19, twelve enthusiastic young ladies showed up and dug right in. All the veterans and the members of the Auxiliary hope that the scouts realize how grateful we are for their efforts,” she added.
