CAPE MAY – Hardy Gardeners gathered Wed. morning, July 19, to create a pollinator garden at the water tower site bordered by Madison and Columbia Avenues in Cape May City. The project was sponsored by the Environmental Commission of Cape May and supported in part by a grant from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC).
Workers, directed by EC Commissioners and Garden Club of Cape May members Judy King and Heather Bruno, toiled throughout the morning planting shrubs and flowers to attract bees, butterflies, and a host of other pollinators in a sustainable garden to enhance and enrich the community.
