CAPE MAY – Come out for an evening of the best short films from the 2014 festival and a sneak preview of the 2015 event during the Nature Center of Cape May’s Oct. 13 “harborside chat.”
Short films from the 2014 Cape May Film Festival will include an adventure/love story shown in three simultaneous views; a man in a diner who is dramatically changing his life; an older couple who become friends without words; and an unforgettable time-lapse film of Cape May. A bonus film from the 2013 Festival tells the story of a writer who helps his neighbors in unusual ways. The preview of the 2015 Festival will include a breaking news story about sports and trailers of the outstanding feature films that will be shown Friday and Saturday evenings.
The Cape May Film Festival is a three-day event that includes a day and a half of short films, features, documentaries and local films. It’s a juried festival, showing only the best of dozens of entries. Friday and Saturday evenings are used to show outstanding feature films accompanied by professionals who have worked on the films or the subjects treated by the films.
Harborside chats begin at 6:00 p.m. and are free; donations are accepted. Why not get out of the house and experience this true gem of Cape May’s cultural life.
