Winners Announced in County’s 35th Annual Senior Art Show

CREST HAVEN — Fifty seven senior citizen artists, some professionals, others non-professionals entered 106 pieces of their work in Cape May County’s 35th Annual Senior Art Show at the county Adminsitration Building Wednesday, June 10.
The event was a cooperative venture between the Board of Chosen Freeholders, and county Department of Aging.
Included in the show were oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, photographs, computer graphics and sculptures.
Judges from Ocean City Art League were Jade Lien, education coordinator, and Caitlin Green, gallery coordintor.
Photography was judged by Herald Managing Editor Al Campbell.
WINNERS ANNOUNCED:
Freeholder Gerald Thornton and the Department of Aging announced the winners of the 35th Annual Senior Art Contest held on June 10, 2009.
This year 103 original works of art were submitted by fifty five Cape May County residents age 60 and up in the following categories: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Computer Graphics/Digital Imagery, Mixed Media, and Craft.
