WILW Plans Tribute to Rock ‘n’ Roll ‘Father’ Hy Lit

WILDWOOD — Sam Lit, son of Philadelphia radio personality Hy Lit , and who is considered my many to be the founding father of rock ‘n’ roll, will participate in the only live in studio tribute to the late Hy Lit,who died last week, on 94.3 WILW – Oldies 94 in Wildwood, Nov. 24 at noon.
That tribute will take place on Philly Bill Culp’s Music & Memories show.
Lit and “Philly Bill” will pay tribute at that time to “the greatest ever Rock & Roll DJ from WIBBAGE (WIBG) in Philadelphia, Hy Lit,” said Culp.
Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano plans to join them in the studio to officially honor Hy Lit and induct “Hyski” into the Wildwood Walk of Fame.
