Trek Across U.S.A. for Autism Ends in Stone Harbor Surf

STONE HARBOR — Matthew Will made his goal, the Atlantic Ocean this morning. He made a bicycle trek across America that started in Laguna Beach, Calif.
The 3,800-mile bike ride is Will’s Journey Across America for Autism ended at the 96th Street beach here.
Will, a 22-year-old Arizona resident from Fountain Hills, began his cross-country ride by dipping the wheels of his bike in the Pacific Ocean at Laguna Beach and will celebrate the finish with a ceremonial wheel dip in the Atlantic Ocean.
Partnering with the Bigsbee Foundation and Emerging Markets, Will has been collecting pledges of 25 cents per mile to benefit The Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC.)
He iwanted to raise $10,000 in pledges to help find a cure for Autism.
Will, who formerly resided in Voorhees, choose to finish his ride over the Fourth of July holiday here, where he used to spend summers with friends and family.
Mayor Suzanne Walters entered the water to join Will in his joyous accomplishment.
