SEA ISLE CITY — Crowds packed the highways into this city Sept. 13, and vendors, all 350 of them, lined the oceanfront promenade to sell a wide variety of goods, from fishing rods and reels to belts, pants, shirts and skirts to “miracle” wipes that would dry a spill immediately.
In addition to the vendors, 15 food choices were offered in the Kennedy Boulevard food court area.
The Hawkins Road Band performed and gave little toddlers and grandparents top-tapping tunes to make them want to dance.
For the children, pony rides and a bouncing moon walk were offered.
On Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., an antique auto show is planned.
And, for those who want to get sand in their shoes, there will be sand sculpting demonstations at 9 a.m. and noon.
There will be guided free historical trolley tours at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. beginning at Landis Avenue and JFK Blvd.
An awards ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. and an antique auto parade will conclude the event at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.
