Santa Welcomes Tykes to Tropics at Zoo

By Al Campbell

SWAINTON — Santa and Mrs. Claus were surrounded by tropical birds Saturday, Dec. 13 as they met hundreds of oogle-eyed children at the Cape May County Zoo Aviary at the popular “Santa in the Tropics” event, hosted by the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
The event afforded an opportunity for parents, grandparents and others to see the on-going improvements being made at the Cape May County Park.
The park and zoo, 707 Route 9, are open daily, except Christmas Day and when weather makes it unsafe.
