By Jack Fichter

WEST CAPE MAY — Cape Island Boy Scout Troop 84 has rescheduled its pumpkin-launching catapult demonstration to Sunday Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. at Rea’s Farm, 213 Stevens St., due to a weather forecast of rain for Saturday afternoon.
In competition, the catapult launched a six-inch pumpkin a distance of 350 feet. The device has been rebuilt and may hurl a pumpkin to new heights. The public is invited to watch the spectacle.
