Jumbo Snowman Seeks Haiti Donations

By Al Campbell

BEESLEY’S POINT — In this community, near Tuckahoe Inn, a group of snow crafters built a 24’-11”, 31-foot diameter (at the base) snowman. He’s big enough to melt hearts, and would make any ordinary Frosty envious.
Call him Timmy Snow, smile when you say it, snap a photo, and donate to Haitian earthquake relief.
Those who created Timmy (yes, he has — or had, depending on the temperature — his own Facebook page, and invited friends) wanted the giant snow creature to be known before the next storm, forecast on Monday night.
As far as they know, it is the record height for the tri-state area.
“We would like to get people to come out and get their picture taken with our snowman for a small donation to collect to send to Haiti,” said Tim Dennison.
The people involved in making Timmy were Timothy Dennison, Timo-thy Tower, Andy Loteck. Joe Loteck, Jeff Battersby, Derrick North, Warren North, and John Souto.
