C.U.R.T. Foundation Ready to Walk, Pray for Youth Aug. 29

COURT HOUSE — The C.U.R.T. Foundation (Children United to Resist Temptation will hold its eighth annual Prayer Walk on Aug. 29.
This year’s event will begin at 9 a.m. at Middle Township High School’s main entrance. The public is welcome to attend this free event.
Those attending will then walk and pray at each school and district administration building.
“We do this in order to strengthen the spiritual immune system of our communities,” said Rev. Patricia Anderson, foundation organizer, whose son, Curtis Davis, was killed crossing the Garden State Parkway near the present overpass.
One of the stops on the walk will be at a memorial cross at the overpass to remember Davis.
The walk is ecumenical with those of all faiths welcome to attend.
Those who cannot attend the walk may also wish to initiate a similar prayer walk on that day and time at their local schools, said Anderson.
Later in the day, at the high school, The CURTesy Conference will be held at Middle Township High School, 300 E. Atlantic Ave. “Good Grief”: Bereavement Seminar from 5 to 6 p.m.
From 6-9 p.m., a “Teens in Jeans”: Youth Empowerment
* A 5$ donation is being sought to to cover conference costs.
There is no cost to participate in the morning walk.
