Civil Air Patrol Cadets Take Flight in Woodbine

WOODBINE— Thirteen Civil Air Patrol cadets’ ages 12 through 18 took part in the Eagle Flight Glider Encampment at the Woodbine Airport the week of July 11.
The cadets from all over New Jersey were chosen by a review board of adult officers in an application process.
The cadets took part in two days of glider classroom instruction at the CAP NJ Wing Headquarters at McGuire Air force Base prior to their actual flight time.
New Jersey Wing of the Civil Air Patrol is a national nonprofit benevolent organization with over 57,000 members. The Civil Air Patrol is the Auxiliary of the United States Air Force. New Jersey Wing has over 1,400 members, consisting of cadets, who are between twelve and twenty one years old.
