COURT HOUSE – The Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation has taken on the challenge of raising $1.5 million for the renovation of 84 of the medical center’s patient rooms and patient care areas. These much needed renovations and upgrades to the patient care areas will provide a more attractive and up-to-date facility that will allow a more comfortable and efficient environment for the patients and family members as well as the nurses and healthcare providers, according to a release.
A capital campaign committee made up of area community leaders has united under the leadership of Jay Ford, president of Crest Savings Bank, to raise those needed funds.
Members of the committee include: Dr. Domenic Coletta, James Corrigan, Garry Gilbert, Alan Gould, Philip Koebig, Stan Lane, Anthony Monzo, Jack Morey, Charles Pessagno, Barbara St. Clair, Joanne Carrocino and Thomas Piratzky.
“I am grateful for the help and support of such a dedicated committee. This campaign is an investment in the future of our community Medical Center.” stated Ford.
Renovations to the fourth floor have been completed and are currently in progress on the second floor.
The Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation has received $330,000 in pledges and gifts to date towards the campaign goal. “We are excited to support and invest in the future of Cape Regional Medical Center.
