Wilkes University welcomes Giuseppi Durso of Cape May, into the class of 2019. Durso is one of over 600 students who make up the university’s newest undergraduate class. Durso is studying criminology.

Dr. Bashar Hanna, Delaware Valley University’s vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, announced the following students have been honored for academic achievement by being named to the Spring 2015 Dean’s List.

Dean Howey of Ocean City, will march with the 2015 Pride of the Valley Marching Band of Lebanon Valley College. Howey, a graduate of Ocean City High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in music education.
The marching band performs at all home football games as well as appearances at various exhibitions throughout the fall semester.

James Madison University is excited to welcome the class of 2019 to campus this month. The incoming freshman class represents an accomplished, diverse group of individuals who hail from more than 30 states, the District of Columbia and more than 30 countries around the world.

The following Virginia Tech students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester.
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester. 
Hanna N. Lichtenstein, of Marmora, is a senior majoring in wildlife conservation in the College of Natural Resources and Environment.
Meghan L. Laverty, of Ocean City, is a sophomore majoring in architecture in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.
Samuel R. Newnam, of Ocean City, is a sophomore majoring in finance in the Pamplin College of Business.

The Dean’s List at Stevenson University recognizes full-time undergraduate students whose academic achievement is outstanding in each semester. To qualify, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed 12 credits or more during that semester.
The following local students were recognized by Stevenson University as 2015 Spring Dean’s List students:
