Wilkes University welcomes Giuseppi Durso of Cape May, into the class of 2019. Durso is one of over 600 students who make up the university’s newest undergraduate class. Durso is studying criminology.

Dean Howey of Ocean City, will march with the 2015 Pride of the Valley Marching Band of Lebanon Valley College. Howey, a graduate of Ocean City High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in music education.
The marching band performs at all home football games as well as appearances at various exhibitions throughout the fall semester.

The following Virginia Tech students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester.
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.

The Dean’s List at Stevenson University recognizes full-time undergraduate students whose academic achievement is outstanding in each semester. To qualify, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed 12 credits or more during that semester.

The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) announced student Alexander K. Smattiotto from Ocean View, has been selected to become a member of the esteemed organization. The society recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment. The announcement was made by NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel, senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.

Dean’s List students have achieved a GPA of 3.5-3.89 for coursework completed at Cabrini College with a minimum of 15 credits. President’s List students have achieved a GPA of 3.9 or higher for coursework completed at Cabrini College with a minimum of 15 credits.

Krista McGowen, of Wildwood Crest, is one of the Stevenson University women’s swim team members who helped the team reach the honor of being named as CSCAA Scholar All-America Team. The women’s team was one of 406 total schools named to this honor by College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). In order to be selected as a Scholar All-America Team, a swimming program must have a combined GPA of at least 3.0 after completing the spring semester.
The Mustangs finished the spring semester with a combined GPA of 3.58, tying for 14th place for the highest GPA out of 151 Division III Women’s Teams. The Mustangs fell .09 points behind Messiah, landing them in second place out of the eight Middle Atlantic Conference Schools.
