Elks, Lower’s Library Branch Link to Host Early Literacy Storytime

VILLAS – The Greater Cape May Elks Lodge No. 2839 partnered with the Cape May County, Lower Township Branch Library to sponsor a “Special Early Literacy Storytime” hour.   
According to a release, this was made possible by the Spotlight Grant of $2,000 awarded to Lodge No. 2839 by the Elks National Foundation.  
Of the funds, $1,500 was used to purchase books and the additional $500 for the purchase of baby supplies.
Also, lodge members donated additional supplies that were disturbed to those in attendance.
Surplus supplies were donated to The Christ Child Society of Cape May County, which dedicates its involvement to the welfare of children.
The group extended its gratitude to Mary Ecklund, librarian, Cape May County Library, Jerry Krause, exalted ruler, Greater Cape May Elks, Lodge No. 2839 and Anne Krause, ENF chairperson, Greater Cape May Elks Lodge No. 2839.
