VILLAS – Greater Cape May Elks Lodge 2839 hosted a benefit Oct. 12 for Kanen Keating-Wear, a 12-year-old who has been battling Ewing’s sarcoma.
According to a release, Keating-Wear’s battle started when he was 5-years-old. In the past two years, he has battled his second and third fight against Ewing’s sarcoma, but during his third fight has added Leptomeningeal carcinomatosis as a complication that has no known cure.
Keating-Wear was unable to attend the benefit but was represented by his family, who were overwhelmed by the love and support they received from those who attended.
The attached pictures are of Kanen’s family and the dedicated volunteers of Greater Cape May Elks who made this benefit possible.
