COURT HOUSE – Sept. 27 at 7:00 p.m., an outdoor Carillon System will be dedicated to the Glory of God in memory of Betty Dundas at the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House during a community-wide Hymn Sing with pipe organ, piano, and brass.
Elizabeth “Betty” K. Dundas (January 8, 1920-February 23, 2014), “Aunt Betty” to many, was a devoted, life-long member of the Cape May Court House community and the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House. She found her life’s work in banking with several financial institutions in Middle Township and was a member of the National Association of Bank Women. The church also benefitted from her expertise, as she served as Financial Secretary for many years. She loved her community and church so much. A bequest she established during her lifetime provided funds to fulfill an unmet wish for the church. After much thought and prayer, it was decided to purchase a Schulmerich Digital Outdoor Carillon System with additional support from church members and friends. Betty’s great nephew Reverend Dr. Clifton J. Suehr will lead a litany written by him in honor of “Aunt Betty” to be read responsively during the Dedication at the Hymn Sing. All are welcome. A reception will follow.
As the bells play a church hymn at high noon each day, we hope that folks who find themselves within the business district that Betty helped to build find simple joy from the music pealing from the steeple of her house of worship.
Cape May County – Inept, clueless, inadequate don't even scratch the surface of "NOLA's" police chief, mayor and governor, I cringe at the thought of two more major events happening soon, did you…
