Purple Reign Band to Play at Crest’s Centennial Park July 9

WILDWOOD CREST — The popular Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series continues Sat., July 9, with Purple Reign, one of the hottest and most sought after bands in the Philadelphia and South Jersey region.
First an original band that began in the 1970s that produced a national hit record in 1975, Purple Reign regularly performs some of the most popular music of today. An outstanding rhythm section, scintillating horns and tremendous vocals allow Purple Reign to play everything from Sinatra to Lady Gaga, as well as many of the hits from disco, Motown and ‘80s and ‘90s dance music.
Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.
The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, hosted by the Wildwood Crest Recreation and Tourism Department and supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission, consists of 21 live music shows every Wednesday and Saturday at Centennial Park through Sept. 3.
Other upcoming entertainment in the series includes Kick It Out, a tribute to Heart, on Wed., July 13; longtime Bruce Springteen tribute act the B Street Band on Sat., July 16; and pop, rock, dance and party music with Big Bleu on Wed., July 20.
