COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Library will host the following events for children during the month of December.
Family Dance Party
Cape May Court House – The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 2-5, and their caregivers to attend a Family Dance Party to be held Dec. 12 at 10:00 a.m. The program will take place at the Main Branch of the library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kids ages 2-5 and their caregivers are invited to come show off their dance skills at the Court House Library! Put on your dancing shoes, bring your family, and join us for a fun interactive program featuring music, movement and more!
Family Movies
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 6-12, and their families to attend our Family Movie program. A screening of this month’s featured film will take place at 6:00 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Main Branch of the Library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kids, ages 6-12, and their families are invited to watch this month’s featured film on our big screen with surround sound! Watch the movie, enjoy snacks and drinks, and relax for free at your library! This month’s filmis rated PG.
Homeschool Social
The Cape May County Library invites families to a Homeschool Social to be held at 11:00 a.m. Dec. 15. The Homeschool Social will take place at the Lower Cape Branch of the library located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
The Lower Cape Library invites all families in the area who homeschool their children to a monthly social. Each month, we will explore a different subject area with stories and activities for the children. We will also provide books for further reading, and demonstrate databases and internet sources you can access from your home computer. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with other families who homeschool and explore the library’s vast resources.
Kitchen Wizards
The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 5-12, to Kitchen Wizards! The program will take place twice Dec. 17 and kids can register for one of the two sessions. The first session will take place at 10:30 a.m. and the second will take place at 12:00 p.m. The programs will be held at the Main Branch of the Library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kitchen Wizards helps kids discover the magic of cooking, one bite at a time, through culinary enrichment programs. Plenty of samples to take home and copies of recipes provided. Kids age 5-12 are invited to participate. Space is limited and registration is required. Recipes are not guaranteed to be nut-free. Please do not register your child if they have a nut allergy.

LEGO Clubs
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 5 to 12 years old, and their caregivers to attend our LEGO Clubs. LEGO Club will be held at three of the library’s branches throughout December.
In order to develop a theme for each meeting, we’ll read books to get ideas about what to construct and then bring out the LEGOs and build, build, build! Parents are encouraged to stay through the meetings and build with their kids.

Messy Masterpieces
The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 2-5, and their caregivers to Messy Masterpieces to be held at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 1. The programs will take place at the Lower Cape Branch library located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Toddlers, ages 2-5, and their caregivers are invited to explore their creativity with an hour-long art program, featuring stories and a sensory art project. Held at the Lower Cape branch of the Cape May County Library. Dress for mess!!
Noon Year’s Eve Party
The Cape May County Library invites children and their families to our Noon Year’s Eve Party to be held at 11:00 a.m. Dec. 31. The party will take place at the Main Branch of the library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Too young to stay awake until midnight? Come ring in the New Year at our Noon Year’s Eve Party! Children and their families are invited to the Court House Library for New Year’s games, crafts and snacks. Our party will culminate in a group countdown to noon! Don’t miss out on the celebration just because you have an early bedtime.
Snow Globe Craft
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 5-12, to one of our snow globe craft programs that will take place at seven of our branches throughout December.
Make your own winter wonderland! Come to your local library for a fun winter craft! We’ll provide all the materials to make your own snow globe to take home. Kids 5-12 invited to join the fun! Supplies are limited. Participants must register in advance online or by calling (609) 463-6354. **Participants can only register for one of the programs. **
