SWAINTON — On September 24, 2015 the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will present the Inaugural ‘FORE’ Education Foundation Golf Tournament at Sand Barrens Golf Club. This is the debut event for the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation and will offer a chance to network while enjoying a day on the course supporting education.
“What a fun way to support education, not only for local students but for local business professionals alike” says Eddie Tate of AtlantiCare and Chairman of the Foundation’s Golf Committee.
Registration includes beverages and food on and off the course as well as entry into all four skills contests where prizes will be offered. Education and Business Advocates are welcome to register as single golfers or as pre-arranged two-somes and four-somes.
Check-in and warm up on the driving range will be open that day beginning at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. RSVP’s are required and must be made to the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce by Thursday, September 17, 2015.
“The County Chamber formed its’ Education Foundation in order to enhance and expand education programs for professional development in Cape May County and has taken over the scholarship program for graduating high school seniors previously run by the Chamber”, according to Vicki Clark, President of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of the Education Foundation. “ The Education Foundations first program, Leadership Cape May County kicks off soon and customer service training for the hospitality industry is planned for spring of 2016.”
