COURT HOUSE – Big Timber Lake Camping Resort is sweetening the lives of foster children in Cape May County. Forty ‘sweet cases’ were purchased and stuffed with extra goodies to help local children in foster care.
Big Timber Lake Camping Resort purchased 40 sweet cases from Together We Rise, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to improve the lives of foster children in America. This organization allows for the purchase of duffel bags that include items to help foster children in transition.
Big Timber Lake has been collecting additional items to include in the sweet cases thanks to generous residents. The resort raffled off a chainsaw wood sculpture, collecting funds, and residents donated additional items to stuff into the duffle bags.
The sweet cases were decorated and filled with blankets, coloring books, toiletries, and teddy bears at the resorts ‘Stuffing Party’ held July 15. The event was combined with the resorts ‘Comical Con’ weekend where residents were asked to dress as their favorite superhero and be a superhero for foster children. Notes of encouragement were also included in each bag and later delivered to the local Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
Anne Becica, assistant RV resort manager at Big Timber Lake Camping Resort and proud foster mom said, “We hope that this will ease their hearts a little bit.” Becica fostered four boys from infant to age 4 and says it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of her life.
According to Becica, Cape May County has one of the highest rates of children in foster care in the state. A simple token such as a sweet case can make all the difference in a child’s foster experience.

Cape May – I am enjoying the meltdown from so many Leftists on president elect Trumps picks for his cabinet and their stating that he is bringing on people with zero experience in government. Yes, you nailed it…
