Come Visit TRACEN!

2017 Sunset Parade

The public is welcome to visit TRACEN and come on base for a tour. To do so, you must complete a tour request. Tours can be requested by contacting the TRACEN’s External Affairs Officer at (609) 898-6362.
The public is also welcome to visit TRACEN for Sunset Parades, which are colorful, inspiring military ceremonies featuring the Recruit Precision Drill Team, marching troops and cannon fire. They take place at sunset on TRACEN’s Parade Grounds and are free. Children are welcome to attend, but should be accompanied by an adult. 2018 Sunset Parades are scheduled for May 27 (Memorial Day, honoring the Coast Guard Enlisted Memorial) with gates opening at 6:30 p.m., guests seated by 7:30 p.m. and an estimated start time of 7:46 p.m.; July 1 (Independence Day) with gates opening at 6:30 p.m., guests seated by 7:40 p.m. and an estimated start time of 7:59 p.m.; Aug. 4 (Coast Guard Day) with gates opening at 6 p.m., guests seated by 7:20 p.m. and an estimated start time of 7:38 p.m.; and Sept. 2 (Labor Day, honoring the Cape May County and Coast Guard Auxiliary) with gates opening at 5:30 p.m., guests seated by 6:40 p.m. and an estimated start time of 6:58 p.m.
Visitors should expect increased security screening for the event, and guests are not permitted to bring bags of any kind to the seating area. Photography is permitted and encouraged, but cameras must be removed from their bags prior to arriving at the seating area.
