CAPE MAY POINT – Over 100 current and former CMBP lifeguards and friends attended the Celebration of Life memorial event on July 20 at Sunset Beach Sportsman’s Club, Cape May Point, NJ. Celebration of Life honors the memory of former CMBP alumni, and provides an evening to renew old friendships with beach patrol members and friends. Proceeds from the event benefit the Clete Cannone Scholarship fund. Since 1984, the Clete Cannone Scholarship fund has awarded over $80,000 in academic support to the CMBP current lifeguards, alumni and their children. For information and/or donations to the Clete Cannone scholarship or the purchase of “Celebration of Life” commemorative tee shirt, please contact Jerry O’Leary at 609-884-8049 or jjol33@comcast.net.
