City of Cape May hosts full schedule of winter activities

The City of Cape May recreation department offers a wide variety of winter activities and swimming lessons.
Winter gymnastic classes, designed for both boys and girls ages 6 and up, covers balance beam, uneven parallel bars, vaulting and trampoline with an emphasis on tumbling. Classes will be held on Fridays at the Franklin Street Civic Center. Beginners meet from 4:30-5:30 p.m., Intermediates from 5:30-7 p.m. Classes begin Jan. 8.
Registration for Cape May’s winter session of Wee Play is now taking place. Wee Play is for parents and children ages 18 months–3 years of age at the Franklin Street Civic Center on Thursday 9:30-11 a.m.
This class provides a special one-on-one time for parents and toddlers, ages 18 months-3 years with gym activities, action songs and age-appropriate projects center around a weekly theme.
A fun educational program conducted by the Cape May Library in which preschoolers enjoy storybook reading, games and playtime with the Storybook Lady-Anita DeSatnick is held on Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Franklin Street Civic Center.
There is also a full schedule of exercise classes both in and out of the pool.
