Christmas in Stone Harbor

On Nov. 27-28, this resort will come alive with Christmas caroling throughout the day, sand art, caricature artists, face painting, and letters to Santa.
Highlight of the event will be Cape May County’s first Christmas parade of the season. The event begins at 7 p.m. Line of march will be on 96th Street and Third Avenue.
Earlier in the two-day event:
Didn’t get that keepsake photo last summer? Get a picture in a Stone Harbor lifeguard boat.
There will also be free gift-wrapping and a raffle to win a Christmas tree.
On Nov. 27, at noon, see the Magician on the 96th Street stage.
Then from 1:30 to 3 p.m. it will be Evan the Vibraphonist on the 96th Street Stage.
Wag yourself into position because at 3:30 p.m. the Dog Parade will start in parking lot by Prudential Fox & Roach and continue to stage area on 96th Street outside office.
The street will be closed to veicular traffic during the parade.
A strolling string band will provide seasonal music from 7 to 9 p.m.
From 7 to 8 p.m. it’s Catered Hospitality Night. In addition to the food and beverages that merchants offer in their stores, there will be various catered stations placed outside of stores for a short period of time.
On Nov. 28:
Start the day off at 8 a.m. with the Sandy Paws 5k and Fun Walk. For information sandypaws5k@yahoo.com.
From 9 a.m. it’s the Toys for Tots Continental Breakfast sponsored by the Women’s Civic Club. Take an unwrapped toy to the clubhouse, 96th Street and beach, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast with Christmas characters.
At 11 a.m., Steve Serwathka, the NJ Nature Guy will be in front of the Stone Harbor Post Office with an array of wild creatures to amaze children of all ages.
Also at 11 a.m., close by to the Post office, decorate the tree for the animals.
Then at 1p.m. Ornament making with Just Bead It – Just Bead It – Third Avenue.
From 1 – 4 p.m. Evan the Vibraphonist wll entertain on the 96th Street Stage.
Camera time from 3 to 4 p.m. when it’s Photos with Santa – at the Firehouse, Second Avenue and 96th Street.
Caroling under the clock with Our Saviour Lutheran Church voices from 6:45 – 7:15 p.m.
