WILDWOOD CREST – The Chatterband, one of the most popular and longest-running dance/party bands in the Delaware Valley, is set to kick off the 2017 Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series on Sat., June 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park.
A perennial favorite in the Crest, the Chatterband is a nine-piece powerhouse band that features an outstanding horn section and dynamite singers with exceptional range. The band performs many of the popular dance and party hits from the 1960s through today.
The Chatterband show opens the largest schedule in the nine-year history of the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series. Shows will be held each Saturday through Sept. 16 and each Wednesday from June 28 through Aug. 30. In addition, a special Friday evening show with the Fabulous Greaseband will be held July 21 after the band’s scheduled performance at the Wildwood Crest Summer Kickoff Concert on Memorial Day weekend was postponed due to rain.
All told, the 2017 Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series includes 24 shows, making it one of the largest free concert series in the region. The series includes many of the most popular cover bands and tribute acts on the East Coast.
All Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series shows are free and open to all ages. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.
The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series is hosted by the Wildwood Crest Recreation and Tourism Department and supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission.
