How they met: Right after high school, Lindsay and Michael met. They began their love story right away.
The proposal: Six years later, Michael proposed in New York City. It was in Grand Central Station that Michael handed his phone to a stranger and asked him to take as many pictures as he could. He then turned around and got down on one knee. “It caused quite the scene,” Lindsay remembers.
The wedding planning: Lindsay and Michael had tons of help from family in creating their perfect day. They went with a “modern rustic” feel. Lindsay’s mom made every decoration. They knew they wanted a small and intimate beach wedding and Wildwood Crest was the perfect place. Lindsay recalls being stress free during the planning process due to her and her husband’s easy going nature.
The actual wedding: The couple was determined to have their beach wedding, regardless of the rainy day forecast. When Lindsay and her father began walking down the aisle, it began to rain. However, after meeting Michael at the altar, the rain stopped and the sun was out for the entire ceremony. They tied the knot on May 10.
What Lindsay remembers: There was only 15 minutes between the ceremony and the reception and the couple spent that time together to reflect on what just happened in their lives.
Some of Lindsay and Michael’s Key Ingredients:
