Brendan and Robin Sciarra, Wildwood Crest

Brendan and Robin Sciarra, Wildwood Crest, were married at Notre Dame de la Mar on July 23, 2010. The reception was held at the Seaview Dolce.
Robin recalls:
There are so many favorite memories that it’s so hard to pick just one! But the most powerful feeling and memory I had that day was when my dad handed me off to Brendan at the altar.
Brendan had very big shoes to fill. I never thought I’d get married, because I thought I’d never meet anyone who was quite like my father — loyal, honest, funny, clean freak, goofy, hard worker, obsessive vacuum-er, a great provider, great with kids, and so much more.
But when my father gave him my hand, I couldn’t have been more reassured that I was in the right hands, and that I had finally landed the one and only one.
(Dad did, however, let Brendan know that he was not “giving” me to him, but rather was ready to share me with him.
I also loved the speeches which were very moving…especially when my sister (matron of honor) and bridesmaids got up and sang, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” They danced and sang to me, and it wasn’t exactly in sync, but it was priceless.
The speeches were tearjerkers. My sister Kim’s consisted mainly of a letter I had written her year’s back, basically describing how I admired her and always looked up to her. But Kim then explained how all along she actually felt that way about me, and how I’m very lucky to have met such a great guy whose parents did a wonderful job of raising into a wonderful man.
Brendan’s brother Chris (the best man) went on to talk about how our ADHD tendencies compliment each other, and how he respects that, “No matter how high Brendan wears his jeans, Robin still loves him unconditionally.” He talked about how Brendan has a heart of gold and how he will always be there for us through thick and thin.
