Bonnie and Ben Davis, Cape May Court House, were married at the Abbie Holmes Estate on October 2, 2010. The reception was held at The Gardens at The Abbie Holmes Estate.
Bonnie recalls:
My husband and I met in Stone Harbor six years ago. We were roommates in a shore house, and were both working at the Abbie Holmes Estate.
We would be working these beautiful weddings together, and it was really romantic even though we were at work. I would get butterflies thinking we would be getting married there someday.
As soon as we got engaged, I called to set up an appointment and book our date. I knew if it was at the Abbie it would be everything I ever imagined…and more!
There are so many amazing memories from that day, but I would have to say watching all of our family and friends get down on the dance floor definitely made the top!
The Abbie Holmes Estate is very welcoming, and that made it easy for people to feel comfortable on and off the dance floor.
The room set the perfect stage for a night of “getting down!”
My grandfather’s imitation of the Mummer’s Strut was amazing! My bridesmaids joined him with the biggest smiles on their faces. That was a very special moment for me.
We had a photo booth so people could make more memories, and that was also incredible.
Our friends and family wore the props all night long. From firemen hats and glittered sunglasses to feather boas and a President Obama mask — they rocked it out!
I still laugh every single time I see the pictures.
My husband and I met here, fell in love here, and now live happily ever after here.
