Cape May Mayor and Council to Host Town Hall Meeting, March 29

By Press Release

CAPE MAY – Cape May City Mayor Clarence “Chuck” Lear along with City Council members will host a Town Hall meeting March 29 at 7 p.m. in Cape May Convention Hall.
The Town Hall meeting is the first of four scheduled for this year by the Mayor and Council as part of their commitment to enhance communication and engage residents to voice their thoughts and ideas regarding issues within the community.
“One of our major priorities is to ensure our residents and visitors have an opportunity to be fully informed and have input into the City’s projects, initiatives and long term goals,” stated Mayor Lear “Our Town Hall meeting format will be less formal than Council Meetings and will allow for continued conversation and dialogue among all of the stakeholders of Cape May.”
Some topics to be discussed are capital project updates, a Beach Safety Committee update and a status on the City Manager search and appointments to key positions within the City.
A special feature for the Town Hall meeting will be recognition of valued community volunteers.  The City will honor one adult and one young volunteer.
The Town Hall meeting is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.  The next town hall meeting is scheduled for July 8.
