Cape May County Museum to Host Live Artillery Demonstration

COURT HOUSE – The sound of live fire will be heard Thur., Aug. 17 on the grounds of The Museum of Cape May County as reenactors representing the 1st Maryland Artillery, CSA, bring their Civil War-era artillery to The Museum.
Using black powder, uniformed soldiers will fire off Civil War-era Confederate cannon and mortar.
“This event promises to be one of the highlights of The Museum’s summer offerings,” said Museum Director Donna Matalucci.
Sponsored by the Cape May County Civil War Roundtable, the demonstration will take place after a very brief Civil War Roundtable business meeting.
