From access to books and online resources for families to library business centers that help support entrepreneurship and retraining, libraries offer an opportunity to all. The theme for 2019 National Library Week is “Libraries = Strong Communities,” a national advocacy campaign aimed at highlighting the value of academic, public, and school libraries.
On National Library Worker’s Day (April 9) patrons are invited to visit their local branch and thank their favorite library staff member.
On National Bookmobile Day (April 10) the day will be celebrated by taking the Cape May County Library bookmobile to five select branches from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., where patrons can step aboard the truck and check out materials.
On April 12, the library will celebrate D.E.A.R. – Drop Everything and Read where folks of all ages are encouraged to make a reading a priority.
