Multiple businesses in Cape May County thank veterans for their service to our country by offering veteran and Gold Star parent discounts. By simply showing their U.S. Military ID, N.J. Driver’s License with veteran indicia, Gold Star Parent ID or Cape May County Veteran ID card, veterans and Gold Star parents can take advantage of these offers.

Where to Get Them
Veteran Photo ID cards are available at the Cape May County Clerk’s Office, 7 N. Main St., Cape May Court House, to veterans residing and domiciled in Cape May County. There is no charge for the card.
What to Bring
Veterans must present their original form DD-214, United States Military Honorable Discharge or U.S. Military Service Papers (unless the document was previously recorded with the Cape May County Clerk) at the time of application. Veterans must also show proof of identity and domicile in Cape May County. Acceptable documents are a New Jersey Driver’s License, a New Jersey Non-Driver Identification Card or Cape May County Voter Registration Card, showing a Cape May County address.

Where to Get Them
Gold Star Parent Photo ID cards are available the Cape May County Clerk’s Office, 7 N. Main St., Cape May Court House, to the parent, legal guardian or legal custodian of member of the armed forces who lost his or her life while on active duty for the United States. The applicant must be a Cape May County resident. There is no charge for the card.
What to Bring
Gold Star parents must present a certification from an organization formed for the support of parents of members of the armed forces who lost their lives while on active duty for the United States, or the service member’s Federal DD Form 1300 or Report of Casualty (which identifies the member of the armed forces who died while on active duty for the United States) at the time of application.
