GALLOWAY — The Cape Atlantic Caregivers Coalition is seeking new members who work in a field related to the disabled or elder population and those who provide care to individuals of any age.
Participants meet to discuss issues, events and projects in both Cape May and Atlantic Counties. A resource guide as well as an annual fair is planned and staged by the coalition.
“Each one of us has more than a one in four chance of being to be in the position of caring for a chronically ill, disabled or older family member at some point in time,” said Christine Miller, member of the Cape Atlantic Caregiver Coalition. “We want to reduce the stress related to the work of caregiving, which is so vital and rewarding to so many in our community.”
The next meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thurs., Sept. 21 at the Galloway Library, 306 E. Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway.
Anyone interested in joining the coalition may contact Christine Miller at 609 652-3800 ext. 301 or cmiller@mhanj.org.
