WILDWOOD — The city was named “Best Shore Resort” in the 2008-2009 People Paper Awards by the readers of The Philadelphia Daily News.
In the fall of last year the publication ran a write-in campaign searching for the best of the best. Several thousand paper ballots were submitted by readers in the tri-state area.
Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. said he was “truly surprised and honored” by the acknowledgement.
The city received a plaque and banner proclaiming the accomplishment, that will be on display at city hall.
