SOMERS POINT- Dedication to the organization and outstanding customer service has earned Karen West, of Information Technology, Employee of the Month honors for May.
West began her journey at Shore Memorial in July of 1981 as a radiographic technologist. Within months, she advanced to special procedures and then lead technologist. She demonstrates excellent judgment and dependability earning the reputation for being a team player, troubleshooter and problem solver.
Always meeting challenges head-on, West served as a Shore Memorial’s clinical instructor/ coordinator for Cumberland County College School of Radiology, studied data processing, earned certifications in mammography, cardiovascular intervention and professional coding before stepping into the role of Cerner RIS Coordinator.
Karen’s expertise and dedication to task finally led her to Information Technology where today she serves as a Sr. Clinical Applications Architect.
A resident of Northfield, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, reading and vacationing in National Parks across the country.
