By Press Release

Village Supermarket, Inc., which operates ShopRite stores in New Jersey, Maryland and Eastern Pennsylvania, recently presented a check for $80,000 to the Autism Speaks Foundation in support of its efforts to fund research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism. During Autism Awareness Month in April, 29 ShopRite stores, including Rio Grande and Marmora, raised funds by collecting donations at checkout, selling T-shirts and wristbands and hosting in-store fundraising events. This is the sixth year that Village Supermarket, Inc. has supported Autism Speaks, cultivating a joint effort to increase awareness of autism and advocate for needs of individuals with autism, as well as their families and caregivers.
