CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Cape Regional Physicians Associates has announced the addition of Gary S. Mirone, DO, a fellowship trained, board-certified urogynecologist, to its team. Dr. Mirone will see patients at the Jane Osborne Center for Women’s Health in Cape May Court House and joins Cape Regional from Inspira Health Network in Vineland, where he served in the Department of Urogynecology for eight years.
As one of only seven urogynecologists in the nation Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Mirone specializes in minimally invasive surgery to address conditions such as urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, fecal incontinence, interstitial cystitis and pelvic organ prolapse.

Among New Jersey’s “Top Docs” for 2017, Dr. Mirone is recognized for his expertise in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, and is a board examiner for the female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery oral boards. He is a fellow and senior member of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Mirone started his medical career in obstetrics and gynecology and was drawn by the miracle of birth. After assisting many mothers in childbirth, he witnessed the effects this had on the female anatomy, often resulting in damage to the pelvic floor. This experience inspired him to focus on the field of urogynecology where he could relieve pain, improve quality of life and give women back their dignity and self-confidence.
Dr. Mirone received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa. and completed an osteopathic internship at Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, Pa. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, N.J., and then also completed a fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery.
