CAPE MAY – The Web site: Trip Advisor has named this historic seaside town as the fourth best beach and sun destination in the United States in its Traveler’s Choice Destination Awards.
It notes: “Yes, Cape May is technically on the Jersey Shore but it’s the antithesis of the Jersey Shore you’ll see on TV. Instead of nightclubs and tanning partners, you’ll see Victorian mansions and a famous lighthouse.”
On the Trip Advisor list, Cape May joins the top three: Myrtle Beach, S.C., San Diego, Calif. and Poipu, Hawaii.
On the either side of Cape May is Clearwater. Fla in fifth place, Sanibel Island, Fla. in sixth place, Sarasota, Fla. in seventh place, Destin, Fla. in eighth place.
