The Avalon Lions Club held its annual Holiday Party in December complete with dinner, dancing and delivering on its mission of helping their neighbors in Cape May County.
The evening was paid for by the members themselves who also brought along dozens of unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots campaign. The Avalon Lions are 150 strong this year and thanks to the generous support of like-minded people, have raised over $100,000 for more than a dozen local charities.
The guest of honor was Dave Burton with Toys for Tots. He received a check for $2,000 to help provide toys for needy children.
During the holiday season the Avalon Lions try to live up to their motto: We Serve.
