Summer-like Columbus Day Weekend Is Busy

CAPE MAY — The age-old art of puppetry once again drew eyes of children on Washington Street Mall on Oct. 6 when the Brownstone Puppets performed to a gleeful audience of youngsters.
Elsewhere, in West Cape May, the Lima Bean Festival drew crowds of lima lovers.
Here, in the Nation’s Oldest Seashore Resort, Victorian Week was in full swing.
Throughout the county, thousands of youths are chasing soccer balls around as the 15th annual George Pratt Memorial Columbus Day Soccer Tournament is drawing teams from throughout the region to virtually very field that is open.
For potential home buyers, Cape May County Association of Realtors has an open house, and a tent with refreshments at the Crest Haven headquarters of Cape May County Chamber of Commerce at the Crest Haven Road, Garden State Parkway intersection.
There are over 77 participating real estate agencies opening doors to potential buyers.
