South Jersey Industries to Host Community Day

By Herald Staff

FOLSOM — On Sept. 20, South Jersey Industries will hold its third annual Community Day from noon to 4 p.m. at the Folsom headquarters on Route 54.
According to a release, “participants will enjoy a fun-filled day of free family activities, including live entertainment by the SoJO 104.9 “On the Go” team, pony cart and pony rides, face painting, moon bounces, and more.”
The event will feature informative health, safety and green-themed displays, including a fire truck display from the Folsom Volunteer Fire Company as well as a display by the New Jersey State Police.
Attendees are invited to bring their no-longer-used cell phones from any provider to donate to Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine Program, which benefits victims of domestic violence and keeps electronic waste out of landfills. Lunch, snacks and treats will be available for purchase throughout the day.
Winners of the “How My Family Is ‘Green’” poster contest will also be announced.
In the event of rain, or for information, visit www.sjindustries.com or call 609-561-9000 ext. 4316.
Community Day will be held on Sept. 21, at the same time and location.
