FOLSOM, N.J. – This year’s hurricane season has proven to be particularly devastating. South Jersey Industries (NYSE: SJI) remains committed to doing its part to assist all those who have been impacted by these unprecedented natural disasters. As part of its commitment, SJI announced today that it will donate $15,000 to the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Relief Fund, supporting those recovering from the damaging impacts of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

In September, SJI partnered with the Red Cross to launch a website allowing employees to donate directly to the relief fund. During the donation drive, SJI employees could contribute to their choice of relief efforts by visiting the website, making a selection and submitting their donations.

At the end of the drive, approximately $7,500 was raised in employee contributions. SJI then matched the amount raised by its employees, for a total donation of $15,000 to the Red Cross’ relief efforts.
