Sell-Out Crowd Feasts on History at 12th Restaurant Gala

By Al Campbell

ERMA — A little of this, a taste of that, a sample of beverages from the vineyard and brewery, and that is how 700, a sell-out crowd, spent the evening of May 1 to benefit Historic Cold Spring Village at Feasting on History the 12th annual Restaurant Gala in the hangar of Naval Air Station Wildwood.
There were 39 restaurants from throughout Cape May County serving up their specialties to hungry masses who returned again and again for the delicacies that struck their fancy. Additionally, there were the fruits of two local vintners and as many local breweries.
The line of feast-goers stretched from the hangar door out past out of service Navy fighter jets and into the street.
