Seaville Automotive Repair has been keeping its customers rolling for over 40 years. Although Seaville Auto has been under new ownership since April 2017, new owners Dave and Holly Rosado still offer that same hometown feel with friendly, reliable service.
Prior to the purchase, Dave worked with Seaville Auto’s original owner, James “Red” Secoda, and his family for three years. Red planned for his grandson George to take over the business, but when plans changed, Red offered the business to Dave and Holly. “We would have been crazy not to take it!” Holly says. The couple has lived in the area for 20 years, and owning a business was always something they wanted to do.
Dave runs the shop, with over 25 years’ experience in the automotive repair industry and an ASE certification, while Holly takes care of the service writing, payroll, bookkeeping and advertising. Seaville Auto specializes in auto repairs, maintenance and service of all makes and models, from foreign to domestic. Seaville Auto’s mechanics are all ASE certified, and stay up to date on training by attending classes and workshops regularly. Recent improvements in the shop include new lifts and new state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.
But Dave and Holly haven’t forgotten about the family aspect behind Seaville Auto. “Our plan is to operate Seaville Auto as a family oriented shop, where our customer’s know they will be treated with respect and honesty,” Holly explains. Additionally, the Secoda family is still heavily involved in the business, as Red’s grandson George works by Dave’s side in the shop. Red often stops by to say hello and see how business is going, reminding both old and new customers about the personal, small-town service they get at Seaville Auto. As Dave puts it, the shop is surely “Reds approved!”
“We are very fortunate to be offered this opportunity, and we take much pride in it,” shares Holly. “Our number one goal is customer satisfaction.”
Seaville Auto is located at 3075 Shore Rd. (Route 9), Seaville. The shop is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call (609) 624-0843.
