SEA ISLE CITY — At the annual luncheon to honor a volunteer of the year and swear in new officers, AARP Chapter 710 of Sea Isle City presented the award to Irene Jameson, an AARP member for over 20 years.
According to a release, Jameson was cited for dedicated efforts, including serving as the publicity chairperson for the chapter and as coordinator of the annual Heart 5K Run/Walk and the Charlotte Moretti Race for the Cure.
Chapter 710 President Mary Ellen Stefenack said, “We wanted to show our appreciation to Irene for publicizing our chapter in the community, which resulted in our receiving a prestigious award this year from the Cape May County Department of Aging. In addition, she attends all city public meetings and keeps us updated in our monthly newsletter.”

Also present were Chapter 710 Vice-President Joy Sumski, Secretary Eleanor Moore and Volunteer of the Year Award Committee Chairman Bob Thibault.
